Measurement Guide

It can be difficult to visualise the lengths of jewellery when buying online, so to ensure your jewellery fits correctly and to avoid any delays (and possibly an added charge) if the incorrect length is ordered, I have listed some guidelines below to help you choose the right item for you.

Please note that all of our jewellery measurements are taken from the end of one clasp to the end of the other.  It includes the full item with clasps included and NOT just the beaded sections.  The measurement you provide should be the length you would like the finished item and not just the circumference of your wrist, neck, or ankle.

It is easiest to use some string.  It should sit so that you can slide a finger under it, but not so it slides off the heel. The string can then be measured next to a ruler.

Necklaces & Bracelets:

Again, if you are unsure of the length you would like it, you can either measure some jewellery you already have or use some string.

The size options on the website are in UK sizes but this chart will help if you know only your US or mm finger size

Tips for getting ring sizes:

If your knuckles are larger than where your ring will sit, you need to measure the knuckle as the ring will need to slide over it

Use fine string to measure the circumference of the finger.  It is best to measure at the end of the day and to allow for colder / hotter weather when your ring size will change

You can buy buy fairly cheap ring sizers online which are great, but if at all possible, get properly measured at a jewellers

If buying a wider band ring (ie 10mm) you need to go up at least one size from your regular one for a comfortable fit

The best way to get an accurate measurement is to either measure the widest part of your hand where the bracelet will slip over (the knuckles) or to cut and tape some paper to the length you think you need and ensure it will slide over your hand.  It has to be slightly snug though, so that it wont just fall off when you wear it.  Alternatively you can measure and existing bangle.

If any item on the website isn't quite what you wanted, please don't hesitate to get in touch as we love making up custom items.
